I admit that I look forward to seeing what the “colour of the year” is going to be and then ignoring it completely and wearing what I always wear lol, but I do love looking at the new colour trends and then thinking how much nothing really changes and everything that goes around comes around Read More
DIY Espadrilles – finally I can make my own shoes! How to make your own espadrilles.
Pantone announced its colour of the year for 2015 today and that colour is Marsala. It’s an interesting colour and so different to 2014’s Radiant Orchid! Radiant Orchid I must admit was one of my favourites and I knew instantly what I could do with it and even just looking at it made me happy. This one, is more subtle and I’m still mulling it over as all I can think of at the moment is chicken marsala and that it would be a nice colour for cosmetics.

There is an article in The Week today entitled The Painstaking Beauty of Harris Tweed, and I have to say that the photos on there are absolutely fantastic. There is not much text there as it after all a photo blog, and all about the images. But take a look because they really are first Read More
So this week I’ve been finishing off some bunting for an order and also making extra for the shop (which you can buy here btw) and then on Wednesday I made this new handbag from a design that was stuck in my head for a few days and needed to come out. I was saying to my friend V, that I had this design in my head and she was telling me to get it onto paper before I forgot what it was, but once I did a quick sketch of it, I was itching to get started to see how it would come out.
