So here we are almost at the end of another year and I am determined to stick to my plan of more sewing for pleasure and less sewing in a sweatshop of one, so with that in mind, I signed up for the Bag of the Month Club again. I did it in 2014 and loved it, it was such fun and the bags were great and in a lot of ways I was sorry it was only for six months, because I was ready to keep on going lol. Then last year I was just so busy that I had no free time for sewing fun and so I didn’t join and I really missed it. Well this time I am determined not to miss out plus it fits with my goal of as much sewing for fun as possible this year, so I signed up and will receive my first Bag of the Month pattern on January 1st 🙂
So what is Bag of the Month Club? Well everything you need to know can be found here but basically it’s a great, fun bag-making club that runs from January to June 2016 and during that time, on the 1st of every month, you will be sent a brand new bag pdf pattern by one of the six great bag pattern designers featured in the club. Part of the fun is the sew-along aspect of the club, there is also a facebook group you can join, and what I love most is the element of surprise when the email arrives each month and the bag of the month is revealed – because that whole thing remains a mystery until then!
And because it’s so much fun and because I’m doing it again this year, I will also be carrying the hardware required for each bag in the shop, just search for bag of the month, or look in the “new” section of the shop – or just click here (once we have the hardware in stock!) If you want to see a list of what hardware is needed for each bag (for some canny advanced planning) visit the Bag of the Month Club hardware requirements page for more details.
